Engine Overhauls and Pismo Beach!

The silver Incognito car is on down at D&D Specialty Cars for a powertrain upgrade. We are getting a new LS3 Engine installed as well as a fresh overhaul of the 4L60E Transmission. Project 5, our yellow convertible, is also down at D&D Specialty Cars to receive its LS7 Engine and transmission overhaul. Keep checking back for pictures soon.

If you'd like to see the Incognito car with all its upgrades, we will be at this year's "The Classic at Pismo Beach" event held June 16th-19th in Pismo Beach, CA.

At the Auctions...

It came and went. Over a year’s worth of work, weeks of preparation, and miles of travel boiled down to just 2 minutes of high speed talking.
I am of course referring to the 2011 Barrett-Jackson auction at Palm Beach, FL.

It was quite a show down of amazing cars, new and classic. From Austin-Heleys to Ferarris, the auction had a wide variety of vehicles, including Corvettes.

Corvettes have had a large turnout at the 2011 Barrett-Jackson auctions in Scottsdale, AZ and Palm Beach, FL. Classic-Glass was no exception.

When we took our first 1996 C4 rebodied into a 1963 C2 Split Window we weren’t sure what to expect. Sting Ray sales had been hitting between $55,000 and $80,000 with a couple going above $90,000. This made it less shocking when we found out our C2 Split didn’t hit the reserve, however we were quite happy with the highest bid price being $110,000.

The highest selling C2 was a 1967 Convertible with matching VIN numbers. While it made a respectable $99,000, it was still $11,000 less than what our ‘Incognito’ car bid up to.

Thanks to all who attended and keep checking back to Classic-Glass for more updates!
